Micronics Ltd have added a pump expert to their staff and now offer, in the UK, a pump efficiency survey capability. The Micronics Portaflow 300 Flow meter can detect irregulari-ties in liquid flow patterns, which can be used by a skilled analyst to pinpoint worn, inefficient pumps. Over sized and / or worn pumps, hydraulic problems due to piping configurations lead to pumping inefficiency and generally consume high levels of energy, which can be very expensive.
